As Spring finally (finally!) starts to show itself, it's time to crank open our windows, take off our snow tires and start to clear our closets of all the coats, hats, mitts, & gloves (Good Riddance!). The promise of warm weather always brings so many fun things but to me, the best part is trying out all the new trends I've been seeing on the runways. This season, I'm especially stoked for all of the fun accessories - the mini bags (a perfect ode the freedom of summer - lipgloss, credit card, keys, GO!), the chic new pointy-toed flats and the lucite and hologram heels, sunglasses and bags that are topping every editor's Spring wishlist. For colour, I can't wait to wear all of the pretty pastels, toughened up a little thanks to studs, chains and super high heels and I'm even ready to try some sexy cut-outs once the last drop of snow melts...

With Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in full New York swing, I've already started making my must-have list for Fall '13. Christian Siriano (of Project Runway fame) showed his Russian Opera-themed collection on Saturday, and I immediately added his opulent gold and black looks to my list. As fate would have it, I just received a memo that Christian Siriano and Payless ShoeSource have teamed up again, but here's the best part - starting Feb. 18, a direct-from-the-runway shoe featured in Siriano's show will be carried at hundreds of Payless stores nationwide for only $45. How's that for instant gratification?
Says Siriano, "Fashion Week is always about the coming season -- fashion available five months out -- but I wanted to bring shoppers a direct-from-the-runway look that is available ASAP and at a great price."
The LeToile is an opened-up sling-back dress pump with a platform sole featuring all-over black patent, a criss-cross detail at the toe and a playful animal print lining. Twelve additional shoe designs hit the runway and these styles will inspire the Fall '13 Christian Siriano for Payless Gold collection available at Payless this September. Meanwhile, RW&CO. just announced their first ever shoe collection, available in stores this March. The collection comprises pointy-toe flats, metallic t-straps and the cool colour-blocked sandals seen above (among others), and ranges between $70 - $90. Want! So, it seems counterintuitive to be posting pics of crystal clear waters and pretty bathers in minus 20 weather, yet when I look at all that snow, all I want to do is leave it behind. I'd board my plane, perfectly packed luggage in tow and take off for somewhere steamy. I imagine spending my days drinking sparkly drinks, and my nights dining under the estrellas, and in all of my imaginary scenes, I'm wearing a rocking wardrobe. Day #1 - black bather, floppy sunhat, cute sandals and Persol shades as I read something I've been wanting to delve into like Dickens (or the latest issue of Us Weekly..let's be honest...) Day #2, as vacation mode fully sets in, it's party time with my neon bikini and mad stack of bracelets, ready to hit my noon samba class if I can wake up in time. The week goes on with a parade of dreamy outfits that you can really only get away with on vacation. And of course, I have the perfect imaginary beach body to match.
Whether you have a trip planned or just want to dream a little, I have 6 perfect poolside looks ready for your weeklong vacay. I find it helps get me through the extra cold days...
