Old Navy Fall 2010 Lookbook
Okay, I know, Old Navy, Old Navy, Old Navy...can I talk of nothing else this week? I can't help myself, I'm feeling some serious love for the store right now and when these new fall lookbook images appeared in my in-box, I just had to share. We all know that Old Navy is cheap and cheerful as can be, but when their pieces are properly layered, mixed and accessorized, it's amazing how you can pull together an entirely delicious outfit with next-to-zero guilt. I can't wait to get my hands on the grey cocoon cardi, the denim shirt (gorgeous with the go-to colour for fall, camel), and the red trench. If you haven't already, you have until Friday to enter the Old Navy Back-to-School Contest (exclusive to you, my fair RLR friends) for a $50 Old Navy gift card. Just post a comment here or on my Real Life Runway facebook page with your best (or worst) back-to-school fashion moment. I'll announce the lucky winner next Monday! Off to make room in my closet! Tralala...

Love the Old navy looks but seriously, don't only old retirees in Florida wer socks and sandals...and don't we make fun of them? Do I have to take it back when my clueless husband steps out of the house with sport socks and slip on sandals and I send him right back inside to change? I'm sorry I just dont thik I can do it.
P.S I have their trench from last year and LOVE it!
Well,...I guess this can be classified as my WORST back to school Fashion Moment! Picture this....early nineties, first day of school, devastated that my closest friends had gone off to collage, and it was my 18th birthday to top it off. So,.. to spruce up my mood, I decided to forgo the jeans and dress up.....way up! Long Flowered skirt (gag) and a bright yellow blouse (hideous), all topped off with some big hair and hoop earrings.
Sadly, 90% of the school mistook me for a new teacher, none of my remaining friends remembered it was my birthday (not the mention they wondered what the heck I was wearing), and I fretted so much over my stupid outfit, that I had hives all over my body by 2 o'clock and spent the rest of the day at the hospital.
True story...pitiful but true.
SL - the socks w sandals trend is unfortunately here to stay. For anyone who decides to partake in the trend, the dreaded farmer's tan will undoubtedly strike at some point. Call it fashion karma?
Ange - I need a picture! hee hee. It's okay, we've all had our moments :)
