My most recent Roots obsession - the Selina Italian Leather Box Bag ($239.99) I wear it every day (did you know it's pink inside? sigh...)
I can always count on Roots for a hit of pure Canadiana, with its cozy sweaters, easy lounge wear, sumptuous leather handbags and nostalgic finds (Beaver Canoe, anyone?). With the influx of American chains storming our retail scene, I love to see that Roots is constantly growing, evolving and, like a fine VQA, just keeps getting better with age.
It's the last day of RLR's Treat Week and to celebrate, we're giving away a $50 Gift Card to Roots. To win, leave a comment below telling me your what you love most about Canada. (Maple syrup? Hockey? Justin Bieber?) Contest ends at 5 pm today. Good luck to every Canuck! x

REAL summers and REAL winters! Canada's distinctive seasons provide so many opportunities for different activities!
... and you gotta love Canadian's need for confirmation through ending each sentence with "eh?"!
One of the favourtie views is driving on the DVP and seeing the City with the CN Tower in the background with all the lights at night in the distance. I love the greenery that we have, even in areas like Downtown Toronto. I love the diversity of Canada's culture, and it always gives me great pride to know that no matter where I go, where my life takes me, that I'll always be Canadian!
I love the Canadian Winters the best! :)
There are so many things to love about Canada but most of all it is about variety. Here me out...
We get all four seasons: from the hottest days to the coldest, the wettest and the driest, the leaves changing and the buds growing, grass so green and then so yellow. We get every terrain.. the mountains and the prairies, the tundra and the wetlands, the hunting and the fishing, the oil and the farming. And we have ethnicity: The Natives and the Newfies, the Indians and the Israelis, the Chinese and the Czechs and with such differing ethnicity comes incredible cuisine.
Canada is all about variety and with that comes great opportunity. Really we are a global country yet traveling with a Canadian passport we are recognized by the rest of the globe as trusting. This is why I love Canada.
What I love most about Canada is it's wide acceptance of a multicultural society and mesh of different cultural traditions.
I like the multiculturalism here in Canada
I love free Health Care.. go Canada!
The landscape. We have it all. Majestic mountains, towering skyscrapers, peaceful beaches, lush farmland, cosmopolitan cities, vast wilderness....and the people that inhabit this land of ours, well, in general, we're pretty damn awesome.
I love all the different cultures
I love the people. Not only the diverse mosaic that makes up our population, but also their congeniality. Canada boasts some of the most polite, friendly and helpful people in the world; that's what I love most about Canada.
