Preen Teams Up with ALDO RISE for Fall '13

Happy Monday, lovelies! To start your workweek off on the right foot, ALDO RISE just announced the launch of its fourth collaboration with London-based designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi of Preen by Thornton Bregazzi. The fierce shoes were shown as part of Preen’s Fall/Winter 2013 runway collection presented during London Fashion Week and I was hoping that they would make their way to ALDO stores for Fall. Luckily, my shoe dreams have come true (again!)

The PREEN x ALDO RISE collection is comprised of three key styles; the collection includes an ankle-strap pump in powder blue, fiery red and black; a triple-buckle, front-zip shootie in red and black; and an ankle boot in powder blue (NEED this boot!) and black. With a chic 5mm island platform and a collage of textures in pony hair, leather, and suede, the feminine silhouettes are tough yet decidedly sexy.

The latest PREEN x ALDO RISE Collection will be available this October at select ALDO stores worldwide and online at aldoshoes.com/rise, ranging from $160 to $230 CAD. Time to start saving your loonies, ladies...

The long-awaited PREEN python pretties seen on the catwalk during London Fashion Week have finally arrived at ALDO, right in time for Spring. Picture yourself emerging from a long winter's nap - sun glinting in your hair, cute little baby birds chirping, flowers popping up all over the place. Once you hit the street, traffic comes to a dead stop, jaws hit the sidewalk as you stomp your way down the street. But wait - you need a worthy soundtrack. No, this ain't no time for Thrift Shop babies (you won't find these at any Goodwill, guaranteed) - these fierce shoes call for full-blown Beyoncé.  It's been a long, long winter - you SO deserve these shoes.

I'm Not a Player, I Just Crush A Lot

I am crushing so hard on these shoes that it's causing actual, physical pain.  It's hard to describe - something between first-love heartache and other-side-of-the-world homesickness.  I went to the doctor but he told me there's only one cure.  And it's not more cowbell.  It's these glorious shoes by British designer Roksanda Ilincic, which instantly became the most tweeted-about shoe collection at London Fashion Week for Spring '13.  The good news? They're part of the ALDO RISE collection coming to ALDO this spring so they'll be affordable. Trouble is, they won't be available for another few months.   Gutted, as the Brits say :( Dyyying...
