Found: Two Classic Keepers

It's often the simple things that are the hardest to find:  the perfect pair of jeans, a flattering black bather, a great white tee.  Though I often tell people to ignore that annoying practical voice in your head in favour of bright colour and feel-good finds, these two classic keepers will instantly elevate your wardrobe just a little.  The clean lines of this black leather bag will carry you through season after season, regardless of the It-bag du jour, while this classic wedge pump gives you height, elongates your legs and looks exactly like the YSL Wedge Pump for literally 1/10 of the price.  Yay!  I wore the black versions from Gap on my last CityLine appearance and everyone keeps asking me where I got my shoes.  YSL, of course ;)

It's officially spring and since our sunny weather actually matches the season, it's time to bust out your pastels.  I've loved this look from 3.1 Phillip Lim ever since it hit the runways - simple, modern, and undeniably pretty.

Ashley Bridges the Gap

We're right in the middle of that not-quite-winter, not-quite-spring season, with the mercury rising and falling like my emotions (right, James?) What's a girl to wear when even Mother Nature can't make up her mind?  I love Ashley's easy-chic, layered look - the perfect transitional outfit for right now.  A pair of leggings, some great moto boots, a slouchy sweater and a printed scarf will help you expertly navigate the weirdness of the weather. Totally Shade-y

I love the coloured lenses and the '70s vibe of these shades and imagine wearing them with a pair of sleek black trousers, a crisp white shirt and a tan trench coat.  Throw on these sweet shades,  then let the sweet sounds of Barry White fill your head as you shuffle your way down the street.  My first, my last, my everythiiiing... 

Work it Out

I hate to say it but when it comes to health & wellness, I'm sadly superficial.  I know that I should like working out for the way it makes me feel, for the internal benefits that it brings to my mind, body and spirit, but if I'm honest, I really just like working out because a) running makes my bum look better and b) it allows me to eat more chocolate bars.  

Instead of a personal trainer, I rely on cute workout wear to get me to the gym.  If I can find something pretty to get me through the sweat and tears, I'm all in.  I love this new TNA bag from Aritzia because it's loaded with smart features: it has a built-in drawstring bag for things you want to stash separately, an interior elasticized water-bottle pocket, practical handles and straps, and is made of easy-to-clean water-resistant cotton canvas.  But really, I love it mostly because of those pink neon accents. Cute!   I feel like I should go read a book so I can feel smart again after this post.
